Meet the Founder
Geraldy H. Jones
Geraldy Horace Jones was born on January 17th, 1885. In the sleepy town of Portland, Oregon. In high school he played Cricket and won every title in his four years in high school. When he was not playing Cricket, he joined the "Squirrel Club", where you watched and observed squirrels. He was a very smart man being number 1 in the state for macrame 5 years in a row. After he graduated high school in 1903, he went to Missouri University of Science and Technology and graduated with a Bachelors in Civil Engineering in 1907. After college he stayed in Rolla, Missouri and started a job as a construction worker. Then in 1914 he stumbled across remains of an old town and wanted to bring that town back, he was working hard until he was drafted in World War 1 in 1915. When he came back in 1918 after an injury, he noticed that his friends, his future wife, and 104 ex- factory workers finishing building the town and he was moved to tears, a year later, on April 9th, 1919, Montague Plains was opened!
Other Things
Since the beginning, Montague Valley has always had its fun and games and beautiful sights to look at around the town.
